Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy is the commonest condition nearly 30 %to 40% of elderly males above the age of 50 have the symptoms of BEH like a weak stream of urine, dribbling of urine, having to apply more pressure for urination, due to obstruction of the urethra there is always a sensation of incomplete evacuation of urine and suffering males have to awake again and again in night for urination. In Ayurveda, Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy is elaborated under the heading of Mutraghata. Mutraghata is caused due to Dusti of Apana Vayu and Kafha Dosha which then causes mutravahasrotodusti and which cause urine retention.
